Notice From HUD – New Unique Entity Identifier

Please see this notice from HUD regarding the transition to the new Government-issued Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) as a means of entity identification for federal awards. On April 4, 2022, the Government is transitioning from using the Dun & Bradstreet data universal numbering system (DUNS) to the new Government-issued Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) as a means of entity identification for federal awards. 
To obtain your UEI: Please visit to view your organization’s assigned UEI on your entity’s registration record. You can follow these easy steps to obtain the number.

Action Item: Before March 29, you must go  into e-snaps to update your Project Applicant profile to ensure your UEI is on the FY 2021 CoC grant agreements, see screenshot below.

Please obtain your UEI and add the information to e-snaps as soon as possible, but no later than 3/29.
